Emissions Reduction Targets
In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets:
We aim to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions from 2025 by 25% by 2030
We aim to reduce absolute total emissions (Scopes 1, 2, Scope 3 categories) by 50% by 2035.
We will aim to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Progress against these targets will be reviewed annually.
Carbon Reduction Projects
The following environmental management measures and projects are currently in place or planned to reduce carbon emissions:
Energy and Buildings
Use of renewable electricity tariffs where available.
Energy efficiency improvements including LED lighting and smart energy controls.
Ongoing monitoring of energy consumption to identify reduction opportunities.
Transport and Travel
Reduction of business travel through remote collaboration technologies.
Preference for rail over air travel where operationally viable.
Phased transition to low-emission or electric vehicles.
Support for flexible and remote working to reduce commuting emissions.
Waste and Resource Use
Reduction of paper use through digital-first processes.
Improved waste segregation and recycling arrangements.
Responsible disposal and reuse of equipment and materials.
Supply Chain
Inclusion of environmental and carbon reduction considerations in procurement decisions.
Engagement with suppliers to encourage emissions transparency and reduction initiatives.
Preference for suppliers with demonstrable sustainability commitments.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and the associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been approved by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
